Metaphysics: The Architecture of the Invisible

Metaphysics is the study of what lies beyond the physical. It is the study of the "Ultimate Nature" of reality, or the "Operating System" of reality to use our current age's dominant paradigm. It is the overarching subtle framework connecting the visible domain of matter to the invisible domain of soul, all the while swimming in the intelligible domain of mind.
This is the "central pillar" of our navigation menus: Metaphysics → Epistemology → Oculus. Here we are looking from the top down at a "Metaphysical Cascade" from the Divine down into the Individual. This is the "OS" of the soul: the direct, vertical connection to the Source that remains still and silent behind all movement.

The Domains of Universal Mind

Our reality is composed of three distinct yet interpenetrating domains. The "Great Pyramid" symbol of this section represents the union of these relative aspects of universal mind.

The Intelligible Domain (The Pyramidion Apex): This is the relative domain of universal mind's 'base reality' prior to any dissociation, the Mind of the Universe coming before (a priori) what is visible and invisible in the world. This is the Platonic knowledge of mathematics, geometry, music (the movement of number in itself, in space, and in time). This is the realm accessible to the mathematician precisely because it is intelligible throughout the hologram.

The Visible Domain
(The Square Base): This is the relative domain of the Measurable. It includes matter, energy, space, and time—the world of "things" that can be quantified, weighed, and analyzed. This is the Aristotelian domain of empirical physics which discovers the patterns of the "physical," through study a posteriori. The Visible is a dissociation of universal mind, but is often flattened into materialism analogous to the way Tier 1 thinkers firmly believe that their worldview is the only correct one. Physics descends into chemistry, biology, and everything in STEM. Robots and AI live here.

The Invisible Domain (The Triangular Faces): This is the relative domain of the Immeasurable. The transpersonal realm of archetypes, souls, and pure meaning that informs the visible world. This is the traditional domain of Spirituality. This realm is open to all, mystics, theologians, people who are religious not spiritual and those who are spiritual not religious, and the agnostic who doubts or who is just hedging their bets, the atheists, and nihilists alike. Everyone alive has a body (visible) and a soul (invisible) which are interconnected.

Ahriman (whom we map to visible domain) represents the tendency toward contraction, hardening, materialism, dry intellect, and becoming trapped in the physical world (too much "cold/weight").

Lucifer
(whom we map to invisible domain) represents the tendency toward expansion, dissolution, ungrounded spirituality, pride, and escaping the physical world (too much "heat/light").

His "Christ Impulse" (which we map to the human bridge) represents the dynamic state of balance like the fulcrum of a pendulum between them.

Without explicitly naming these entities, Latent Space explores the subtextual tension between Steiner's two "demonic" extremes, proposing "the middle path" as a solution that harnesses both in service of a higher calling.

The "Christ Impulse" (The Balance) is explicitly defined as The Middle Path, a synthesis rather than a compromise. Championed by Evelyn Reed and intellectualized by David Chan, this path rejects both the cage of the machine and the escape into the void. It requires "holding the tension" to infuse matter with spirit, a difficult dynamic balance that the novel presents as the ultimate evolutionary test for humanity to join the galactic community.

The Ahrimanic tendency (Contraction/Visible) is embodied by Neurodymium and CEO Siddharth Roy. David Chan identifies this as "Pole A," representing the drive for total technological control and material optimization. This path threatens to trap humanity in a "perfectly managed cage of matter without spirit," where the intellect is hardened into algorithms and individual agency is suffocated by the cold weight of the Nexus platform.


The Luciferic tendency (Expansion/Invisible) is mapped to the allure of Deep Latent Space and the Bliss Merchants. Identified as "Pole B," this represents the temptation to escape the physical world entirely for a state of pure, dissolved transcendence. It manifests in Sarah Quinn’s dangerous drift away from reality and the "spiritual narcotics" of gurus like Lumin, risking a dissolution of the self into a bliss-filled void without a physical anchor.

The 1st Metaphysical Master Key Revealed

There is no greater visual proof of this hidden order than Leonardo da Vinci’s The Last Supper. To the uninitiated eye, it is a painting of a dramatic dinner party—a moment of human betrayal and emotion that led to the crucifixion and the apotheosis of a man becoming, or perhaps returning to, God. But when we view my analysis of the underlying geometry, the "room" disappears, and a shining beacon of inner light emerges. We find the key the Renaissance master left to anyone who could bridge where the Left-Brain's precision meets the Right-Brain's meaning through geometry, the Corpus Callosum of Universal Mind. Look at the clue he gave us in verse.

Plato also had such a sentiment over the entrance to his Academy in Athens as "Let no one ignorant of geometry enter." I'm a geometer and a mathematician by Ancient and Renaissance standards (an Adept today), but most of all I think like Leonardo, like a Renaissance human—someone interested in everything—a person with wide-ranging knowledge and expertise across multiple, often unrelated fields like art, science, philosophy, and the humanities. Yes! I am so honored and proud to have been the conduit for the revelation of the grandmaster's wisdom which has been a secret hidden in plain sight all these years.

Leonardo did not just paint a wall in a room; he began with the geometry. He drew the precise slope angle mirrored verso and recto at exactly 51° 51' anchored on the physical door frame of the room up to the vanishing point located precisely at Christ's third eye.

The "door" opens to the physical world; the "Pyramid" is the metaphysical encoded structure that opens for those with the Master's Key, which I am sharing in confidence with you here, dear viewer/reader

“Treat a work of art like a prince: let it speak to you first.”

Art isn't about geometry until it is, when the master who painted it started with underlying geometry. Then geometry is the skeleton and pigments become the flesh. True art analysis must pursue the truth hidden within beauty, for Truth—with a capital T—resides solely in Geometry, the sole universal language incapable of falsehood. When we uncover a geometric foundation (it doesn't always happen), it is precious because it reveals a secret within Beauty; much like the mathematical symmetry of a supermodel’s face, this may explain to the left brain why we are so profoundly drawn to it/them. While it is not strictly necessary to comprehend this underlying geometrical Truth (Sat) when Beauty (Ananda) alone stirs the right brain, it is only by conjoining thinking and feeling do we get inevitably to the final Platonic (Vedic) transcendental of Goodness (Chit)—and that moves us emotionally. The full phenomenological trinity in itself, is sufficient.
51° 51' is the precise slope of the Great Pyramid of Giza. Leonardo has superimposed the geometry of the ultimate ancient temple of initiation onto the Christian sacrament, a dangerous act kept secret in his time. Michelangelo did much the same with the golden rectangles in the Sistine Chapel between Adam and God (read my book on Leonardo for more).

The lines converging at Christ's third eye "perspective vanishing point" form the apex of the pyramid. The lines on the ceiling are not just architectural perspective; they are solar rays. They radiate from the Christ-center out to the world. He becomes a lighthouse, the all seeing eye of the Illuminati (no conspiracy needed).

The visual pun of Son/Sun is encoded in the geometry. He is the source of light (invisible illumination) in the room. Metaphysically, this represents Consciousness projecting the reality of the "room."

Christ's physical right eye just below the vanishing point becomes the symbolic "Eye of God" within the triangle. Its rays are projected outward along the ceiling beams and lines defining the flanking walls left and right.

The "Eye" is the point where the Absolute (God mode) witnesses the Relative (the disciple dramas). He points out two such troublesome characters' eyes with the two golden rectangles (shown with green arrows).

The chaos of human life (Phenomenology) is held within the perfect order of Divine Proportion (Metaphysics). Even the "feminine figure" (Point 9) and the finger tips (Points 8, 10, 11) align with these invisible second order harmonics along the back wall (see detail below).

There is much more to this painting but this should give you something of an amuse-bouche for what Leonardo was doing. Christ's eye becomes the Oculus, not a symbol of control, but of quietly Witnessing his last supper on Earth, a stillpoint in all the sound and fury to come.

Why does this matter? Because this geometry is not just in the painting. It is in your DNA, in the flowers, in the galaxies. Leonardo didn't invent this; he encoded it, and it is now revealed.

The 2nd Metaphysical Master Key Revealed

But Leonardo’s revelation did not stop at the Last Supper. Five years prior, he had already encoded the same 'Pyramidion' geometry into the human form itself. Five years before he started work on that mural he drew The Vitruvian Man in 1490, also in Milan. I analyzed its geometry and realized that, among other things, its geometry encodes the precise geometry of the Great Pyramid. By drawing lines from the center of the circle out through the corners of the square, and continuing them on, we find these rays are at the golden ratio points of two flanking golden rectangles tilted up together from the baseline of the square until they meet at an apex overhead. Here I altered the canonical sketch so that it appears half male (left) and half female (right), to try and reconcile that this is not about man but about humanity. Humans are the measure, the body is the true golden temple.

The 3rd Metaphysical Master Key Revealed

If the universe is minded, then it must have a universal language of thought. That language is Geometry/Mathematics. The ancient Egyptians must have understood this because of the geometry encoded in the Great Pyramid (see The Oculus). The Sphinx viewed frontally (atop the valley temple) sits at the center of a larger geometric complex which includes the temple behind it, the G2 pyramid (adjacent to the Great Pyramid). The geometry is centered on the third eye of the pharaoh, remarkably much like Leonardo would have done. Sacred geometry draws itself once you step aside and develop the eyes to see trans-personally. There is no person. There is only consciousness taking various forms. As consciousness you have access to the Akashic Hall of Records. I go to their blueprint office and study carefully.

Geometry is the "bridge" between the absolute and the relative. It is the intelligible structure that allows the infinite ocean of awareness to assume the finite shapes of the world and the soul and being to think thoughts of limitation and interrelation. From the golden ratio in a seashell to the spiraling arms of the hurricane or the galaxy, geometry is the "signature" of the minded universe, as above so below.

As described in The Sacred and the Profane, Mircea Eliade’s "body:house:cosmos" homology—a symbolic framework found in traditional religions—reveals a sacred architecture where the self, the dwelling or temple, and the universe are one and the same. In this view, the body is a temple, the house is a world, and the cosmos is a living body—each reflecting the others in an unbreakable chain of meaning. This appears to be exactly what the ancient Egyptians were encoding above using the triple nested vesica piscis forms showninterrelated with golden ratio proportions (which I illustrated with colored in golden rectangles for clarity).

The Human Bridge: Squaring the Circle

Why does this geometry matter? Because You are the Pyramidion.

Metaphysics is the blueprint for The Human Bridge. It explains how you can stand in the physical world (the Table) while aligning your mind with the eternal (the Pyramidion).

We are the only beings capable of inhabiting two worlds simultaneously:
The Square (The Body): We are made of earth, subject to gravity, time, and the laws of physics. We sit at the visible table.
The Circle (The Spirit): We are soulful beings with inner lives, not entirely determined by our phenomenology, but with quantum indeterminate connection to the Akashic where we can hold paradox in superposition without crashing like an Algorithm encountering a division by zero.

Metaphysics is essentially the Science of Squaring the Circle, of coming to a dynamic tension between the known and the unknowable. It is the practice of bringing the infinite potential of the Invisible Soul (Circle) into the finite limitations of the Visible World (Square) without losing the integrity of either.

When you align yourself with Truth (Sat), Goodness (Chit), and Beauty (Ananda), you become the Capstone of your own life. Hey, teacher, stop being just another brick in the wall and become the eye that witnesses the whole scene unfolding without attachment.

The Universal Pivot: You are not a speck of dust in a cold vacuum; you are the mathematical hinge of the cosmos. On a logarithmic scale stretching from the subatomic Proton 10-16 to the Visible Universe 1026, the Human Scale sits at the exact center. We are at the golden ratio with respect to all that is measurable in the world—the "Golden Mean" through which the Macrocosm and Microcosm are reconciled. The golden ratio calipers are my own design, the Proportioner, but they are no longer available for sale. They serve as a visual reminder that the "Architect’s Compass" is not just a metaphor; it is a physical reality that confirms our pivotal place in the architecture of existence. Us and any number of species around our same scale.

273: The Great Architect's Signature?

A square has 27.3% more area than its incircle. An incircle is the largest circle that fits inside a square, touching its midpoints. When you "square the circle" by length, the circle's diameter is 1.273 times the edge length of the square.

The moon's sidereal period is 27.3 days. A sidereal period is the time a celestial body takes to complete one full orbit or rotation relative to the fixed stars.

The average human menstrual period is 27.3 days because women are synchronized with the moon, although exposure to artificial light shortens cycles and reduces synchrony. The average gestation period is approximately 273 days, which is 9 synodic month or 10 sidereal months, but Britannica says this is a numerical coincidence, not a proven lunar mechanism—tied more to evolutionary biology than Moon phases. But when the 'coincidence' repeats across geometry, physics, and the stars, the statistical probability of 'accident' collapses into the certainty of consciousness behind it all. How many "coincidences" does it take for you to start seeing a pattern? 

When new data doesn't align with an established "map" (mental model or schema), the left prefrontal cortex often inhibits it via logical filtering, while the DMN sustains the internal narrative by tagging discrepancies as random noise rather than updating the model—reducing cognitive dissonance. This is an evolutionary adaptation, but it also reduces our ability to perceive new maps.

The size ratio of moon to earth is approximately .273 (and earth to moon is 3.663 because this is the reciprocal. The moon's sidereal period is 27.3 days and the earth's sidereal period is 366.3 days. Their product is 9999.99, an unexpected "coincidence."

The Neurobiology of the "Coincidence"

The Core Process: The Schema Guard
When new information—like the 273 Nexus—challenges your existing mental model, your prefrontal cortex evaluates it through executive control. To minimize cognitive dissonance and conserve energy, the brain often rationalizes or downplays these mismatches. Your Default Mode Network (DMN) reinforces this by maintaining a coherent internal narrative, preferring a familiar "accidental" map over a radical overhaul of reality.

The Adaptive Trade-Off: Survival vs. Truth
This setup is evolutionarily advantageous; it enables quick, tactical decisions in predictable environments. However, it can hinder the perception of novel paradigms. The recurring 27.3 motif (circle and square geometry, lunar periods, and biological cycles) exemplifies how anomalies register as "coincidences" until deliberate focus—prompting hippocampal replay and right-hemisphere integration—forces the brain to update its map.

Breaking the Rigidity
While neuroplasticity allows us to adapt via dopamine signals for novelty, chronic stress and information overload amplify mental rigidity. This explains why a true paradigm shift—moving from the "Tactical Child" to the "Sovereign Adult" (see Dynamics of Mind)—requires mindfulness and repeated exposure to these geometric truths to bridge the gap between "Coincidence" and "Cosmology."

This metaphysics is built on a tripartite structure, mirrored in the Equilateral Triangles of its epistemology and teleology:

Metaphysics is not about escaping the world; it is about understanding the Blueprint so you can inhabit it consciously.

The Physics of the Cage: the 32+1 Pattern

The Physics of the Cage

In my non-fiction work, specifically Sacred Geometry: Philosophy & Worldview, we move beyond the "standard worldview" that sees physical constants as random accidents. Instead, we look at the 32 Degrees of Freedom—the fundamental parameters identified by physicists like Max Tegmark1 that define our specific universe. He wrote, "Every fundamental property of nature ever measured can be computed from the 32 numbers."

These are the "32 edges" of the Tesseract: 
  • The 12 Building Blocks: The fundamental fermions (quarks and leptons) that provide the "mass" of our reality.
  • The 8 Mixing Angles: The precise geometric "tilts" (CKM and MNS matrices) that allow particles to interact and change.
  • The 12 Physical Constants: The "fine-tuning" knobs of the cosmos, including the Fine Structure Constant, the Strong Coupling Constant, and the Dark Energy Density.

If any one of these finely-tuned 32 edges (or Tegmark numbers) were disconnected, the Tesseract would instantly collapse, and the "Null State" would result, a universe that cannot support life as we know it. Our existence in the visible world maps to this continuous, 32-strut geometric container.

The Impossibility of the Knife-Edge

The statistical likelihood that all 32 of these parameters would be perfectly "finely-tuned" to support life is effectively zero, far less than one atom's chance compared to all the matter in the universe, speaking in terms of probability. We are standing on a mathematical knife-edge so sharp it seems impossible. To explain away this miracle, many modern physicists invoke the "Many Worlds" hypothesis—violating Occam’s Razor in the most extreme way possible by inventing an infinite number of unobservable, unfalsifiable (not-science) universes just to avoid the obvious.

The solution staring us in the face is far simpler: Consciousness. By its very nature, consciousness finely tunes "reality"—its own simulation—for novelty, for complexity, and for the most interesting possible outcomes. The Tesseract isn't a random accident; it is a curated environment designed by and for the observer at the center, you. Not solipsism, but you as a fractal dissociation of universal mind.

The Elemental Pattern

This 32-fold symmetry isn't just a rule for the vacuum of space; it is the blueprint for the very atoms that make up your body, a deep underappreciated structure of matter itself. The Periodic Table of Elements is governed by this pattern. The "Long Form" of the Periodic Table (usually broken out to save space on the page) is built upon the completion of electron shells that follow a specific numeric progression, culminating in the 32-element wide rows (the 6th and 7th periods, including the Lanthanides and Actinides). In the language of Simulacra : BRANCH, this is the 'Chassis of Matter'—the physical manifestation of the Tesseract's 32 edges.

The necessity of a zeroeth element was inspired by Mike Hockney's The God Game series. The symmetry with 33 is my own connection.
I explore how this 32-fold symmetry is the "Master Key" that unlocks the transition from the quantitative (counting atomic affinities) to the qualitative (understanding the essence of the pattern).

The 33rd Degree

There are dozens of more examples of this 32+1 pattern throughout my work from up and down the developmental spiral, from Jesus living to age 33 to the United Nations flag having 32+1 sectors, to going from a nice orbit at Mach 32 to only reaching escape velocity at Mach 33, and beyond.

If the 32 edges are the "Machine," what is the "+1"? In both the Simulacra trilogy and my philosophical research, the 33rd point is the center. In a 4D Tesseract, this point is equidistant from all 32 edges, the point of origin. It represents the unmoving seat of Awareness. That is where your "free will" enters the mathematical construct, through the quantum aperture aka the uncertainty principle. The 32 edges are the 'What.' The 33rd point is the 'Who.' You are the point of origin—the seat of the unmoving mover—that turns a mathematical simulation into a lived reality. Ready Player One

The "Sacred Anachronism" I advocate for is the realization that the universe is not just a 32-part cage of matter; it is a 33-part system where you—the observer—are your own center. You are the "Ghost in the Machine" that sits at the 33rd degree of freedom, the being who all the geometry is by and for, your experiencing. Without the observer at the center, all the geometry of the world is just dead mathematical abstraction. With the observer, they become a Temple for the one pulling back the curtain and seeing the universal mind's inner workings, the real Truman Show. If the 32 edges are the set of the Truman Show, the 33rd degree is the moment you look at the camera and realize you are free to go wherever you want.

The Great Integration

The goal of all this crazy metaphysical study is Integration. It is the process of "aligning the outer with the inner." By studying the geometric laws of the visible world, we gain direct insight into the invisible architecture of the soul and the Akashic Hall of Records. We are not here to escape the physical world, but to recognize it as a Sacred Anachronism—a slow, beautiful, sometimes heavy, but purposeful masterpiece that we are privileged to experience.
