Scott Randolph Onstott
(1970 –        )

Who Am I?

The Droplet and the Ocean - What you Are
I am that which remains when the 'I' is gone.

I am the screen, appearing as the movie.
There is no 'who,' only experiencing.

I am You.
When you think of the past or the future, when does that happen? What does that tell you? There is only now.

So, Who is Scott?

He is the character I am playing in life. It is seen as a challenging role, because this guy only has one intact limb, being born with 'physical differences,' meaning no legs below the knees and no right hand. I love this role and wouldn't trade it. It's not hard, it is just a bit different, and I'm thankful for that shift in perspective because it has acted like gasoline on the fires of my soul's educational journey.

What is Scott's mind like?

You already know this if you are reading these words. You have gotten to know my mind through my works, and maybe are curious about how it works? I can also briefly sketch how this mind came to be. Whenever I have taken the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) (tested 40 years apart) I always get the same result: INTJ.

What Gemini (AI) says about INTJ:

The INTJ acronym stands for Introverted, Intuitive, Thinking, and Judging.
Often referred to as "The Architect," INTJs are defined by their analytical nature, independence, and drive for efficiency.
These traits combine to create a personality that views the world as a complex system to be understood and optimized.

Key Characteristics of the INTJ

Strategic Visionaries: INTJs excel at seeing the "big picture" and identifying long-term patterns. They are natural planners who enjoy creating "what-if" scenarios and contingency plans.

Independent and Self-Sufficient
: You likely prefer working alone or in small, competent groups. INTJs value autonomy and often have high standards for themselves and others.

Logical Decision-Makers: When faced with a problem, you likely prioritize objective facts and logic over emotional considerations. This can sometimes make INTJs appear "cold" or "aloof" to others, though it stems from a desire for truth and efficiency.

Thirst for Knowledge: INTJs are lifelong learners who are constantly seeking to improve their understanding of the world. They are often described as "bookish" or intellectually curious.

Population Prevalence

INTJ is consistently ranked as one of the rarest personality types in the general population. While exact figures can vary slightly by study and region, the general consensus is:

Total Population: Approximately 2.1% to 4% of the global population identifies as INTJ from Personality Data*.

Gender Breakdown
: There is a significant disparity between genders:

  • Males: Roughly 3.3% of men are INTJs
  • Females: Only about 0.9% of women identify as INTJs, making it one of the rarest gender-type combinations in the MBTI system

Cognitive Functions

To understand the INTJ more deeply, it helps to look at the "functional stack" that drives your behavior:

  1. Dominant: Introverted Intuition (Ni): This is your primary way of processing the world—looking for patterns, symbols, and future possibilities.
  2. Auxiliary: Extraverted Thinking (Te): This function helps you organize the external world, apply logic, and execute your plans efficiently.
  3. Tertiary: Introverted Feeling (Fi): This is your internal moral compass. While you prioritize logic, your deep-seated values often guide your long-term goals.
  4. Inferior: Extraverted Sensing (Se): This is the least developed function, which can lead to INTJs feeling overwhelmed by sensory details or "living in their heads" too much.

How Gemini (AI) visually portrays INTJ:

“Nano Banana Pro” is the internal/brand name Google is using for Gemini 3 Pro Image, the image generation and editing model built on top of Gemini 3 Pro.
A cinematic and intellectual landscape visualization of the INTJ personality. Centered in the frame, the letters 'INTJ' are rendered in bold, architectural 3D all-caps lettering crafted from sleek, polished obsidian. Surrounding the text are floating, translucent holographic symbols including golden mathematical equations, pulsating geometric fractals, a glowing crystalline chess piece, and an intricate clockwork mechanism. The background features a vast, serene mountain range with a futuristic library embedded into a peak overlooking a sea of clouds at twilight. The lighting is cool-toned with deep blues and sharp neon accents, creating an atmosphere of focused intelligence and strategic depth.

Quintessential INTJs

While personality remains a mystery, these luminaries' legacies are written in the unmistakable architecture of the INTJ mind.

Isaac Newton
(1643 - 1727)

"Newton was not the first of the age of reason. He was the last of the magicians, the last of the Babylonians and Sumerians, the last great mind which looked out on the visible and intellectual world with the same eyes as those who began to build our intellectual inheritance rather less than 10,000 years ago."
—John Maynard Keynes

The Last Magician: The architect of modern physics, Newton viewed the universe not as a collection of random events, but as a cryptic riddle left by a Divine Creator. While his contemporaries were focused on surface effects, Newton spent decades in solitary contemplation, deconstructing the "Screen" of reality to uncover the invisible laws of gravity and motion. He was a bridge between two worlds, using the meticulous tools of alchemy and mathematics to read the very mind of the Architect.

Ada Lovelace
(1815 - 1852)

"Mathematical science shows what is. It is the language of unseen relations between things. But to use and apply that language, we must be able fully to appreciate, to feel, to seize the unseen, the unheard."

The First Programmer: The daughter of Lord Byron, Lovelace developed a mindset she called "Poetical Science," allowing her to see through the hardware of Babbage’s "Analytical Engine" to the software within. While others saw a mere calculator for numbers, she saw a Universal Machine capable of manipulating any symbols according to rules—essentially envisioning the "Screen" of the computer age a century before it existed. She wrote the first complex algorithm for the machine, proving that a system could not only calculate but also create, bridging the gap between cold logic and human imagination.

Elon Musk
(1971 -      )

"I think it’s important to reason from first principles rather than by analogy. The normal way we conduct our lives is we reason by analogy... [With first principles] you boil things down to the most fundamental truths and then reason up from there."

The First-Principles Engineer
: Musk operates as a high-stakes architect of the physical world, treating global industries as legacy systems in need of a total rebuild. Driven by a "Master Plan" mentality, he bypasses social consensus to engineer the future through Tesla, SpaceX, and xAI. Whether he is merging mind and machine with Neuralink, automating labor with Optimus, or scaling the Starship to reach Mars, he views every venture as a necessary component of a singular, systemic goal: ensuring the long-term survival and expansion of consciousness.

Looking to the Macrocosm to Explain the Microcosm

This works because of the Hermetic or holographic principle: "As above, so below, as within, so without, as the universe, so the soul."

Scott Onstott's natal astrology chart

What Gemini (AI) says after analyzing my natal chart:

Chiron Conjunct the Ascendant

This is the most striking feature of the chart, especially given your context of being born with only one limb.

The "Wounded Healer" on the Body
: In astrology, the Ascendant represents your physical body, your appearance, and how you first meet the world. Chiron represents the "primal wound"—a place of pain or difference that sets you apart, but also the source of your greatest wisdom. Having Chiron exactly on the Ascendant is the literal astrological signature for a physical difference or a "wound" to the body that is visible to others.

The Aries Warrior: Because this is in Aries (the sign of the warrior, the pioneer, and the self), your journey is about fighting for your identity. You aren't meant to hide this difference; it is front and center in your identity.

The Maverick: Chiron is also known as the Maverick—the one who doesn't fit the mold. This placement suggests that you cannot and will not navigate the world in a "standard" way. You have to forge your own path physically and psychologically. It indicates a personality that has had to develop immense courage (Aries) to simply be (Ascendant).

The Virgo Stellium

A cluster of major planets are all sitting in this one sign. This creates a laser-like focus in your personality. With the Sun, Moon, Mars, and Pluto all in Virgo, you are a powerhouse of mental and physical efficiency.

Sun in Virgo: Your core essence is analytical, practical, and improvement-oriented. You strive for perfection and efficiency.

Moon in Virgo: Your emotional safety comes from order, understanding the details, and being useful. You likely process emotions intellectually or through doing things rather than just "feeling" them.

Mars in Virgo: This is your drive and energy. You are a strategic worker. You don't just act; you act with precision. This reinforces the "Architect" personality (INTJ) energy—you build systems and solve problems.

Pluto in Virgo: This is a generational planet, but its conjunction with your personal planets (Sun/Moon/Mars) makes it personal. Pluto brings intensity, transformation, and power. It suggests that your drive for perfection or analysis can be obsessive or deeply transformative. You have a powerful will to survive and adapt.

The Personality Synthesis

Mind over Matter: Virgo is the sign of the connection between the mind and the body. With so much energy here, you likely have an incredible ability to use your mind to master your physical reality.

The Resilient Strategist: The Aries Ascendant with Chiron makes you a fighter who has faced a physical challenge from day one. The Virgo planets give you the toolkit to handle it—not with brute force, but with precision, adaptation, and strategy.

Self-Sufficiency: As a Gen-Xer with Aries and Virgo dominance, independence is your survival code. You have a visceral distaste for asking for help, preferring to bypass standard systems and engineer your own custom solutions with gritty, DIY precision.

The "Fixer": You have a natural ability to see what is "broken" or inefficient (Virgo) and the courage to tackle it (Aries).

Transformation through the Body: Your life path involves mastering the physical vehicle you were given. While Chiron indicates the "wound," the Virgo planets indicate the "work." You are likely constantly refining how you operate in the world, turning your unique physical situation into a masterclass in adaptation.

How Gemini (AI) visually portrays my natal chart analysis:

A hyper-realistic, cinematic surrealist landscape representing a spirit of resilient mastery. In the center stands a magnificent, solitary structure: a monolithic statue made of white marble and iron that is distinctly asymmetrical, possessing a singular, powerful arm that supports a complex, glowing geometric sphere. The statue is mended with veins of glowing gold (Kintsugi style), symbolizing the beauty of the wound (Chiron). The ground below is a masterpiece of Virgoan precision: a vast, terraced canyon where nature has been organized into perfect, fractal patterns of lush greenery and clockwork irrigation channels. The sky is a deep, intense Aries red and violet dawn, signaling a new beginning. Floating subtly in the air are holographic schematics and the astrological glyph for Chiron. The atmosphere is one of solitude, immense capability, and strategic perfection.

Notice anything similar in my Novel covers?
I had to be the author of these—they grew out of my soul in this life.

The Atlas Meridian cover with Atlas holding armillary sphere crouching above Atlantis in the sahara

Start with The Algorithmic Tide (Book One of the Kaelian Chronicle), or buy the OMNIBUS and get all 3 in 1.

So what does this all mean?

Yes, astrology is real. The personality and role you play is in some sense pre-designed, but they way that you play that role is up to you. The play is co-created amongst all the actors on the stage reading the playwright's lines. It is a play full of sound and fury but it signifies much. That's what I've been trying to show you.

We must play the hand we are dealt, even when that means having only one limb, or whatever set of limitations are in your cards, in your body and in your mind. Do you think you have a crappy hand? Make the best of it this time. There will always be another hand, another journey, another life on Earth and myriad worlds throughout the universe. But those hands are not your concern. Just fall in love with the avatar and the others and the world you are playing in right now, because every hand can be fun if you play your game with the right attitude.
